1. What is the School District planning for the former Mackay School and District Office properties?

The District has prepared a flyer which provides answers to questions regarding the proposed reuse of both properties. The flyer, as well as the latest information on the project can be found on the School District website at: www.cypsd.k12.ca.us/news/

2. What actions have taken place as of October 11, 2013 between the City and the School District?

At the Council meeting of September 23, 2013, the City approved the agreements for reimbursement for both the Mackay and District office as well as the task order for the environmental consultant.

At the School district meeting of October 10, 2013, it is our understanding the School District approved the reimbursement and exchange agreement for the District Office site but tabled both agreements for the Mackay site to work out some details. 3. Will the School District hold a public meeting with the surrounding property owners to discuss their plans for the Mackay School Site?

Yes, the School District has sent a notice to property owners in the vicinity of the Mackay School site notifying them of a meeting to be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Swain Elementary School site. 4. When will the EIR Scoping meeting be held for the Mackay School Site?

The City and School District will hold a public Scoping Meeting for the Mackay School site on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the Cypress School District Office property located at 9740 Moody Street. 5. What environmental analysis will be conducted for the Mackay Place project and where can I find more details about the process?

Another alternative is to visit: http://ceres.ca.gov/ceqa/index.html and view the Frequently Asked Questions or the 2012 CEQA Statutes and Guidelines The city will be preparing an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the proposed project.
